Dipantara Successfully Completes 2025 Surveillance Audit, Reinforces Commitment to Sustainable Forest Management

Gunungkidul, November 7, 2025 – CV Dipantara has successfully concluded its annual surveillance audit conducted by Bureau Veritas, reaffirming the company’s strong commitment to sustainable community forestry. Held from November 4 to 7, 2025, the audit proceeded smoothly and resulted in a positive evaluation of Dipantara’s adherence to responsible forest management standards.

This year’s assessment focused on Principles 1, 8, and 10 of the Responsible Forest Smallholder Standard (RFSS), which underpin legal compliance, impact monitoring, and responsible harvesting practices. These principles form the core framework ensuring that community forest operations remain lawful, transparent, and ecologically sound.

The audit team was led by Ms. Lely Puspitasari as Lead Auditor, supported by Mr. Bambang Mardi Priyono as Auditor. The process also involved Mr. Komkrit Vattanasirisombut as Witness Auditor and Ms. Siti Nurika Sulistyani as Observer, bringing a multi-perspective approach to evaluating Dipantara’s systems and field implementation.

During the four-day audit, Bureau Veritas conducted an in-depth review of Dipantara’s internal documentation, interviewed key personnel, and carried out field inspections across several operational sites. The auditors examined a wide range of components, including harvesting procedures, reporting systems, protection of High Conservation Value (HCV) areas, monitoring of harvesting impacts, and safety practices for field workers. They also assessed Dipantara’s engagement with local community forest groups (KTHR) and its implementation of traceability and SOP compliance in the field.

Preliminary findings indicate that Dipantara’s implementation of FSC principles remains strong, with consistent application of procedures and responsible field practices. The audit was completed without major obstacles, and exchanges between the audit team and Dipantara’s staff were conducted openly, rigorously, and constructively.

This achievement reinforces Dipantara’s commitment not only to maintaining certification standards but also to continuously improving the quality of community forest management. The company emphasized that while positive results are encouraging, they serve as motivation to further refine systems, strengthen field practices, and address areas where improvements can still be made.

“Dipantara will continue to improve and remain committed to implementing all activities in accordance with FSC principles to ensure better environmental, social, and economic sustainability,” the company stated.

This commitment aligns with Dipantara’s broader vision of ensuring that community forest management delivers long-term ecological resilience, community welfare, and responsible production. To Dipantara, sustainable forestry is not solely about harvesting timber; it is about safeguarding forest landscapes, empowering community forest farmer groups, and protecting the natural heritage for future generations.

With the successful completion of the 2025 surveillance audit, Dipantara further strengthens its standing as a community forestry enterprise capable of balancing productivity, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility. The company will continue to enhance its governance, deepen collaboration with KTHR partners, and ensure that every step taken aligns with long-term sustainability principles.
