CV Dipantara once again reaffirms its commitment to environmental conservation through the Annual Seedling Distribution Program for the 2024/2025 period. As a company engaged in the timber trade, responsibility for the sustainability of forest resources is an integral part of the company’s vision and core values.

A Concrete Step Toward Sustainable Community Forests

This year’s seedling distribution is carried out in two stages — in November 2024 and January 2025. The timing is aligned with the rainy season to ensure better growth conditions for the seedlings.

In total, 10,600 seedlings, consisting of teak (shoot-cutting clones) and Albizia (sengon laut), have been distributed free of charge to 10 Forest Farmer Groups (KTHR) that are partner communities under CV Dipantara’s guidance.

Joint Planting: Turning Seedlings into Trees of Hope

The program does not stop at distributing seedlings. CV Dipantara also organized joint planting activities involving the KTHR members. During these activities, the Assistant Manager for Community Forest Management (PHR) acted as facilitator, providing hands-on training and detailed guidance on proper planting techniques for both teak and Albizia seedlings. This ensures that the seedlings have the highest possible chance of survival and healthy growth.

Benefits for the Environment and the Community

This initiative brings double benefits to the partner groups. In addition to receiving high-quality seedlings at no cost, KTHR members gain practical knowledge on proper planting and maintenance. It is hoped that these seedlings will grow into productive trees that not only strengthen the local economy but also help maintain ecosystem balance within community forests.
