As a company engaged in the wood trading business, CV Dipantara is committed to ensuring that all traded wood has verified legality. Since its establishment, CV Dipantara has held a certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), affirming that every piece of wood it sells complies with international standards on legality and sustainability. FSC mandates that all organizations adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and internationally ratified agreements.
With the issuance of Ministry of Trade Regulation Number 93 of 2020, which revises the previous provisions related to forestry industry product exports, Indonesia now requires the implementation of the Sistem Verifikasi dan Legalitas Kayu (SVLK) for all wood products intended for export. This regulation aims to support more efficient forest management and uphold the credibility and legality of Indonesian wood products in the global market.
SVLK itself is a tracking system developed through a multi-stakeholder approach to ensure that all wood circulating in the Indonesian market has a clear legal status. With this system, the government aims for Indonesian wood products to gain broader recognition in international markets as legitimate and quality products.
As a concrete step toward complying with this policy, CV Dipantara conducted an audit to obtain SVLK certification. This audit was carried out by an independent certification body, PT Trifos Internasional Sertifikasi (TRIC), on June 6, 2024. The audit proceeded smoothly, and CV Dipantara was declared to meet all the necessary requirements for SVLK certification, reinforcing its position as a company that prioritizes legality and sustainability in every aspect of its wood trading operations.
With the acquisition of SVLK certification, CV Dipantara is increasingly optimistic about expanding its export market and ensuring that every piece of wood it sells comes from legal and sustainable sources.
