Joint Cooperation Dipantara and Local Communities

The journey to building cooperation with local communities is a shared desire to be able to contribute to the forestry development in Java Region.

Currently, the supply of wood for the industry is still a big question. The need for the wood industry to supply new materials is increasing. In addition, efforts are made to encourage sustainable management that ensures a sustainable supply.

Currently, timber-based products are still part of the needs of the wood industry.

There needs to be a third party who is able to provide the market demand for the wood so that there is no imbalance in production.

The teak wood industry has suffered a lot because the supply of wood is getting smaller while market demand is increasing.

The supply of forest products [timber] is the existing challenge for the wood industry. The need for wood for industrial purposes is still quite high. Dipantara seeks to become one of the suppliers of wood for this purpose by implementing a community-based forest management system

The problem of wood raw materials is an important thing that must be solved because the industry does not always depend on state-owned forests. [Perhutani as for example]

Dipantara collaborates with the local communities around the forests to develop a community-based forest management program. The community-based collaboration is a part that needs to be maintained in order to expand the management area and assist the government in providing wood supplies for industrial purposes.

Dipantara system in Forest management is through local communities’ participation.
